Hurt of Whiting, Indiana, born in Centertown, Kentucky, who passed away on February 3, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Sue "Susie" Martin Goodall; his parents, Marion B. Hurt and Maggie Fielden Hurt Schroeder; his brother Eugene Hurt; his great-uncle Roy Fielden; his close friends, Jimmy Maddox and Buddy Fielden; and his brother-in-law Harold Smith.
He is survived by: the mother of his children Shirley K. Hurt; his children, Linda Case (Rod), Mary McClelland and Barry Hurt (Anna); his grandchildren, Leesa and Zachary McClelland; his siblings, Maybeth Smith, William "Bill" Hurt and Thomas "Tom" Hurt; his stepchildren, Christy Schenk (Steven), Craig Goodall (Tamara) and Stephen Goodall; his stepgrandchildren, Dustin Case, Steven Manship (Megan), Craig David Goodall (Veronica), Jared Goodall (Melissa), Jamisyn Rodimel (Troy), Billy Goodall, Aiyana Goodall, Zachary Goodall, Anna-Michelle Visak (Nathan) and Christina Castro (Ricky); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Isabell, Annabella, Nathan, Lukas, Milah and Gabriel. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In February 2021, he became a COVID widower and spent the last 8 months living with his oldest daughter and son-in-law in Muncie, Indiana.
