He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Adeline M. Matalik; his children, Douglas Matalik (Judi), Sara Matalik-Haley (Scott) and Kristi Matalik; his grandchildren, Graham and Reese Matalik; his siblings, Mary Ann Miskus, Andrew Matalik and Betty Eggebrecht; his sister-in-law Martha Molnar (late Bill); and his father Andrew Matalik.
