He was predeceased by: his parents, Joaquin Puente and Amelia Puente; and his sister Mary Christine Puente. He is survived by: his siblings, Rose Perez (late John), Joe L. Puente, Richard Puente, Eva Puente and James Puente; and his pet Blackie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Whiting Animal Shelter 1915 Front Street Whiting, IN 46394.
