She was predeceased by: her spouse Casimir Popiela; her siblings, Helen Hajduk (late John), Sophie Joan Plewniak (late Frank), Julia "Jay" Dickey (late Joseph) and Stanley Marek; and her parents, Martin Marek and Anna Marek (Dybel).
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Popiela, Karen Hebda (Edward), Glori Whithorn and Darlene Markovich (Joseph); her grandchildren, Ashley Sciacca (Nick), Matt Hebda (Avonlea), Ryan Hebda (Ashley), Catherine Fitzgerald (Matthew), Chelsea Milauskas (Peter), Brianna Whithorn, Drew Whithorn (Amanda), Tiffany Whithorn and Michael Markovich; and her great grandchildren, Caroline, Elijah, Tabitha, Lydia and Benjamin. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Adalbert Church, Whiting, would be appreciated.
