She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Peter Kahanik; her son Peter Mark Kahanik; her sister Maria Masarech (Jaroslav); her nephew Robert Masarech; and her parents, Emil Polak and Maria Polak.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Baran Funeral Home (1235 119th St, Whiting, IN 46394). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (1849 Lincoln Ave, Whiting, IN 46394).
