It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alfonso E. Renda of Whiting, Indiana, who passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brothers-in-law, Dennis Woznicka (Martha) and John Wozniczka; and his parents, Alfonso Renda and Elizabeth Renda (Poznanski). He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann "Bonnie"; his children, Andrea Gaynor (Patrick), Patti Renda, David Renda (Amy), Michelle Harbin (Don) and Greg Renda (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Meghan Gaynor, Avery Ryan, Ethan Harbin and Dominic Harbin; his brothers-in-law, Bill Wozniczka and Tom Wozniczka (late Joan); his nieces and nephews, Julie Kraft (Mark) and Meredith Wozniczka; and his grandchildren, Beau and Calla Harbin.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baran Funeral Home (1235 119th St, Whiting, IN 46394). A prayer was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Parish Prayer Service. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Baran Funeral Home (1235 119th St, Whiting, IN 46394). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (1731 La Porte Ave, Whiting, IN 46394).
