He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Eugene and Mary Louise Shoemaker (Schooley); his wife Janet S. Shoemaker (Neese); his children, Robert Wayne Shoemaker, Roy Dean Shoemaker and Bonnie Jean Shoemaker; his grandson Joshua Isaac Shoemaker; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Kelsey and Claude Westerfield.
He is survived by: his son Martin J. Shoemaker (Tina) of Whitestown; his grandson Daniel K. Shoemaker of Whitestown Two; and his sister Leona Kelsey (Dave Cooper).
