He is survived by: his wife Carol Downen (Betterly); his children, Barbara Downen of Houston and Robert Downen Jr. of Lake Leelanau, Michigan; and his siblings, Victor Downen (Karen) of Verne, Sandra Hall (Jim) of Mobile, AL, Gloria Worland (Earl) of Linton, Rachel Lowe of Mobile, AL, Martha Downen of Verne, John Downen of Mobile, Georgia Stasulis (Al) of Gulfport, MS and Tony Downen (Carolyn) of Vincennes. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
