With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Kathryn Carey of Wheatland, Indiana, born in Bicknell, Indiana, who passed away on April 13, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Newton and Alice Grace Byrd (McElroy); and her husband Herbert F. Carey. She is survived by: her children, Richard Carey (Patricia) of Ooltewah, Tennessee, Sandra Bradley of Indianapolis and Sue Ann Day (David) of Plainfield; her daughter-in-law Penny Carey of Avon; her grandchildren, Brian, Amanda, Kathryn, Katy and Clay; her great grandchildren, Alexis, Trinity and Gracie; her son Darrin Carey; and her siblings, Wanda Rasner, Doris Neukam, Douglas "Bill" Byrd and Gerald Byrd. She is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as several dear friends.
