It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Eugene Cookston of Wheatfield, Indiana, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 11, 2023, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his nephew Justin Davis; his parent Cleighton Eugene "Gene" Cookston (Sue D.); and his grandfathers, Hubert Cleighton Cookston (Inzez) and Ray Webb (Regina). He is survived by: his wife Cindy D. Cookston; his sisters, Connie Cookston-Davis and Janet Colgrove (Jon); his stepmother Janice Cookston; his stepdaughter Nikki Weaver Lukes; his son Kevin Travis; and his pets, Piper, Red and Solo. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
