It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Barrera of Wheatfield, Indiana, who passed away on December 30, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph Barrera to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sotero Barrera and Domitilia Barrera (Peña); his stepmother Margaret Barrera (Hernandez); his wife Lorraine Buratto; his son Joseph; and his siblings, Ralph, Frank, Rueben, David, Anthony, Esther Burnette, Mary Wehnanen and Concepcion Zavala Barrera.
He is survived by: his son Jim Barrera (Gloria); and his brother Raynaldo Barrera (Marilyn). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church (1460 IN-10, Wheatfield, IN 46392).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
