He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Czerniak and Priscilla Czerniak (Marshall); his siblings, William Czerniak and Marcia 'Marty Smith; and his brother-in-law Rich Bengston.
He is survived by: his wife Georgia Detrick-Beres; his children, Donald Beres (Sherry), Eugene Beres Jr. (Stacey), Scott Crawford, Michael Beres (Bridgett), David Czerniak and Kimberly Young; his siblings, Cathy 'Cuppy' Emmel (Dave), Mary Elizabeth Czerniak and Stanley 'Butch' Czerniak (Trish); his sister-in-law Rose Bengston; and his adoptive daughter Theresa Smith (Brian). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and Wheatfield Fire Department.
