He was predeceased by: his son Steven; his parents, Burl Spurr and Elizabeth Spurr (Haxton); and his siblings, Margaret Henderson, Jean Drake, Thomas, Ray and Alexander.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Spurr (Dick); his children, Kathryn Berrier (Charles) of Sheridan, Robert Spurr (Lisa) and Debra Evers (Richard); and his sister Norma Byers of Council Bluffs. He is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
