He was predeceased by: his parents, Milford Merifield and Helen Merifield (Gatrell); and his brother David Jon Merifield. He is survived by: his wife Janice Dolores Merifield (Boysel) of Westville; his children, Jamie Lynn (Bill) and James Jeffrey Merifield (Olivia) of Ogden Dunes; his grandchildren, Chelsea Maerz (Ryan), Christian Graf and Jordan Graf; his great grandchildren, Carlie of Michigan City and Maddox Maerz of Michigan City; and his sister Judith Wardell of Hobart. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
