She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Piper and Bernice Piper (Falkenthal); her former husband Quintin O'Brien; and her brother James Piper. She is survived by: her husband George Watkins Sr.; her children, Geni Hisick (John) of Laporte and George Watkins Jr. of Westville; and her sister Delores Newcome of Chesterton. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Dunes Hospice.
