Ruby M. Deaton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruby M. Deaton of Westport, Indiana, born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, who passed away on May 5, 2021 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruby M. Deaton to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanton Ross and Elizabeth Ross (Pearman); her husband Virgil L. "Blue" Deaton; her stepson Anthony Deaton; and her siblings, Gordon, Joe Ross, Genevieve Plummer and Thelma Ross.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carla Shera of Deputy, Danita Watts of Columbus and Doris Dykes of Greensburg; her sister Kathryn Sweet of Shelbyville; her grandchildren, Troy Spires, Jatan Spires of Greensburg, Lee Watts of Columbus and Adria Deaton of Greenwood; and her great grandchildren, Stormie Raye of Greensburg, Maeva Watts of Columbus, Wesley and Alexis Deaton of Greenwood.
A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 p. m. until time of service at 2:00 p. m. We ask visitors to follow social distancing guidelines once inside the funeral home and masks are recommended.
Memorial contributions may be made to Westport Volunteer Fire Department or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
