She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland C. Gessler and Anna Rebecca Gessler (Satterfield); her spouse Russell L. Lucas; her grandson Nathan Lucas; her stepdaughter Judy Vail; and her sister Sheila Moore.

She is survived by: her son Russell Allen Lucas (Tasha) of Westport; her stepchildren, Bobby Lee Lucas (Loretta) of Tennessee, Betty Lucas of Columbus, Beverly Sutton (Chuck) of Greensburg and Sally Evans of Greensburg; and her half-sisters, Annette of Scottsburg, Lora of Scottsburg, Sharon of North Vernon and Debbie of North Vernon. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home (402 E Bennett St, Westport, IN 47283). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Riley Children's Hospital through the funeral home.
