He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Stotts and Pauline Stotts (Holland); his former spouse Carmen Elaine Daugherty; his wife Nancy Ann Underhill; his son David Stotts; and his daughter-in-law Barbara Adkins.
He is survived by: his daughter Amber Ellard of Westport; and his stepsons, Christopher Ellard of Westport, Homer Ellard (Melissa) of Westport and Robert Alspaugh of West Baden. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
