Marilyn Kay Burton Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 6, 2022, at the age of 83, Marilyn Kay Burton of Westport, Indiana, born in Greensburg, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter B. Reed and Roxie Corrine Reed (Mozingo); her husband Chester Burton; her children, Deborah Sue Hempstead and Greg Allen Hempstead; her sisters, Amy Osting and Mary Jane Reed; and her great grandchildren, Cameron Douglas Burton and Erika Calvert.

She is survived by: her children, Merri Ann Fox (William) of Columbus, Roxanna Lee Metz (Bart) of Greensburg, Michael Reed Hempstead of Greensburg and Douglas Glen Burton (Jessica) of Glenwood; and her sister Carol Sue Reed of Bright. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Westport Volunteer Fire Department through the funeral home.
