He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold "Scoot" Carter and Mary Carter (Wakefield); his in-laws, Don and Doris Reed; his brother Jerold Carter; and his grandparents, Harold, Ruby Carter, Ernest and Edith Wakefield.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Lou Reed; his children, Joy Palmer (Robert) and Gary Carter (Lori); his brother Bruce Carter (Sherry); his sister-in-law Mary Borrelli (Rich); and his grandchildren, Josh Hayward (Megan), Bethany Jones, Sr. (Courtland), Andrew Hayward, Anna Hayward, Braydon Carter, Kylie Carter, Kristina Palmer and Tiffany Palmer. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Grace Church (5504 E 146th St, Noblesville, IN 46062). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
