He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret E. Vittetau (Knecht) and John Eugene Vittetau. He is survived by: his wife Hertha Catherine Fickes; his children, Michael (Lynn) of Carmel, IN and Laura Winter (Jim); his sisters, Martine Billman of Indianapolis and Judith Trumpey of Indianapolis; and his grandchildren, Cara Elizabeth Mehlon (Chad), James Robert Vittetau (Quinn), Thomas Earl Vittetau (Kelly), Emeline Marie Falk (Kyle) and John Matthew McConnell.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church (14598 Oak Ridge Rd, Carmel, IN 46032). A rosary was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Robert's name can be made to the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN).
