He is survived by: his wife Arnietta "Nita" Gergel; his sister Ann Soldo (Richard); his children, Richard, Jr., Annette and Kimberly; his niece Jennifer Mc Dougall (David); his great-niece Josephine; and his great-nephews, Andrew and Jack.
