She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd L. Montgomery and Opha Chesshir Montgomery. She is survived by: her husband Robert Elkins, Sr.; her children, Penny W. Counterman (Eric) and Robert L. Elkins, Jr. (Lori); her siblings, Rick Montgomery (Patricia) and Donna Jones; her grandchildren, Anthony Elkins (Shawnee), Erica Fisher (Malcolm), Sara Wood (Frank), Jessica Jones (Donny), Devon Elkins and Alicia Elkins; her sons, Troy Harden, Jim Clark, Rick Fugate and Tony Cordova; and her close friends, Gloria Hall and Bobby Thomas. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
