She was predeceased by: her parents, David Johnston (Bubby Jackson) and Bernice Johnston (Harden). She is survived by: her husband John Hickle; her children, Matthew D. Schimmel (Holly) of Dunlap, IL and Erin D. Jackson; her grandchildren, Connor D. Schimmel, Cooper D. Schimmel, Violet Stephens and Vincent Stephens; her brother Jason L. Johnston (Roberta); and her former husband Jack R. Schimmel. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Samaritan Affordable Funeral and Cremation Services (2425 Wabash Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47807).
