He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Jones and Grace Hudson Jones; his wife Gussie; his daughter Sandy Mathias; and his sister Ann Crowley.
He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Fuqua; his grandchildren, Michael Davis, Larry Mathias III (Leah), Joshua Davis, Kristin Mathias, Ashlea Brown (William), Stephanie, Christina and Nikki; and his brother Joseph Jones Dorothy Webb (Janet).
