David Anthony left this world on November 5, 2024 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Myers and Geraldine B. Kneeland Myers; and his sisters, Jeri Myers Taylor and Teri Myers Tucker. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Reckerd Myers; his children, Jill Schopmeyer (Marlin), David Myers (Travella) and Darrin Myers (Trina); his stepchildren, Kevin Mitchell and Jenny Mitchell (Kin); his grandchildren, Jordynn Scott, Paiden Myers, Gavin Myers, Carter Myers, Lauryn Myers, Jaylynn Scott and Reilly Myers; his stepgrandchildren, Jacklin Kirby, Zacharie Mitchell, Tristan Mitchell and Hadlee Mitchell; and his siblings, Keri Myers, James Myers (Susie), Dori Myers and Jodi Myers-Harmon (Rob). He is also survived by two great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Fitzpatrick Funeral Home (220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, IN 47885). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Cory Volunteer Fire Department or the Terre Haute Humane Shelter, in David's memory.
