He was predeceased by: his parents, Merritt Shideler and Grace Shideler (Duncan); his brother Charles Shideler; his sister-in-law Ardith Shideler; and his great grandchild Kaley LaBrosse.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Ann Travis; his children, Keitha Sue Shideler of Attica, IN, Bradley Merritt Shideler of Angola, IN and Eric Shanahan Shideler (Hannah) of West Lebanon, IN; his brothers, Gilbert Shideler (Darlene) of Huntington, IN and Barry Shideler (Connie) of Huntington, IN; and his grandchildren, Schuyler LaBrosse, Isaiah LaBrosse (Michelle), Simon LaBrosse, Hannah Shideler, Olivia Shideler and Eva Shideler.
