He was predeceased by: his parents, Addie Gooden (Jim) and Mae Carswell Gooden; his son Terry; and his siblings, E. D., Henry, Jim, Charlene and Sue.
He is survived by: his wife Rosann; his children, Connie Brenner (Mike) and Mike Gooden; and his grandchildren, Jeff Brenner, Michelle Blackburn, Tracey McDaniel, Rustin Gooden, Katie Clemmons, Greg Gooden, Amber Gooden, Terri Klodzen and Lacey Thompson.
Due to COVID-19, a graveside service will be held at the West Lebanon Cemetery on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 2:00 p. m. with full military honors.
Memorial contributions in John's name may be made to the West Lebanon Christian Church or West Lebanon Fire Department.
