He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Shoaf; his children, Anthony James Chafin of Shadeland and Beverly Ann Reid (Ron) of West Lafayette; his siblings, Lee Chafin (Linda) of Lafayette, Mike Chafin (Patty) of Battle Ground and Cathy Childers of Lafayette; his grandchildren, DJ, Nehemiah and Brosiah Hall; and his great grandchildren, Nova and Oden Hall.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
