He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Ervin and Lenore Spear (Kirts); and his siblings, Jeannie Spear, Harold and Joe Spear.

He is survived by: his children, Shannon Faustich, Jentry Spear of Lafayette, Anna Lenore Hanas and Lara Smith; and his siblings, Jack Spear and Wendy Sue Fogelman.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Tom's name to the First Baptist Church of Lafayette.
