He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Benner and Ethel Benner (Heiland); his son Scott Benner; and his sister Gwendolyn. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary DeVries; his sons, Michael Benner of Champaign, IL and Carl Taylor of Lafayette; and his sister Joan Banning of West Lafayette.
