She is survived by: her parents, Monica Gregory (Ellerman) and Dana Gregory of Lafayette; her daughters, Elenore and Gwindolyn; her stepfather Michael Ellerman of West Lafayette; her grandparents, Bill and Denise Gregory of Lafayette; her uncle Tim Williams; her aunt Dr. Tina Wismer of Monticello, IL; her siblings, David Hicks of Wichita, KS, Chris Williams (Allison Frees-Williams) of Savoy, IL and Sheena (Christopher LaMar) of West Lafayette; her nieces and nephews, Eliyah Boaz, Zander, Gavin, Riley, Ronan, Gideon, Juliette, Welles, Ruby and Vera; and her pet Kinny.

“Sam was my stepmother. She taught me so much about drawing and painting and even more about life. I remember the nights we would stay up late baking or watching tv or ordering Insomnia Cookies or just sitting on the porch and talking. She could become friends with anybody. She would go grocery shopping and come home and tell us about a new friend she had made. She was one of the friendliest, kindest people i have ever met. She gave me memories that i will cherish forever. I miss her so much.”
