With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Colleen DeTurk of West Lafayette, Indiana, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on August 17, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Matthew and Ruth Catherine Longstreet (Capps); her brother Bill Longstreet; her sisters-in-law, Sandra Longstreet, Dolores Longstreet and Sue DeTurk Scott; her grandchildren, Karmen DeTurk and Tony Bartlett; and her nephew John Keegan Longstreet.
She is survived by: her husband Gene; her children, Tami DeLand-Hansen (Steve) and Phil DeTurk (Paula) of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Lauren DeLand (Myke) of Atlanta, Lindsay DeLand, Kristen Bartlett, Morgan Ubelhor of Lafayette and Dylan Ubelhor of Lafayette; and her great grandchildren, Brianna, Brayden and Blakely Bartlett of Lafayette. She is also survived by 2 brothers, 1 sister-in-law, and her many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Colleen's name may be given to Purdue School of Nursing.
