She was predeceased by: her parents, Ottoway Furgerson and Anna Mae Furgerson (Moore); her husband James Merimee; her son Stephen Phelps; and her siblings, Lawson Furgerson, Imogene Cates, Lorraine LaRoy, Mary Frances Furgerson and Joyce Wilson.
She is survived by: her daughter Laura Ohannesian (David); her stepdaughters, Trisha Petraglia (Scott) and Cheryl Behrens; her grandchildren, Nikki, Kayla, Jordan and Sophie; and her daughter-in-law Martha Perkins. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be directed to the First Christian Church.
