He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Simon and Virginia Williamson (Riffe). He is survived by: his spouse Laurel Jean Poland; his children, Jennifer L. Kerr (Cary) and Richard L. Simon II (Bud); and his grandchildren, Nathanael, Zachary Kerr, Cody, Emma and Kaylee Simon.
