He was predeceased by: his parents, John Haan and Mary Haan (Jenner); his wife Mary Ann; and his daughters, Peggy Haan Andrew and Barbara Haan.

He is survived by: his children, Jane Haan Roembke (Greg) of Indianapolis and Jim Haan (Julie) of Martinsville; his siblings, John Edward Haan of Mulberry and Barbara Haan Virgin of Crawfordsville; his grandchildren, Cari Gallager (Tim), Kandra Sejas (Dan), Nicholas Haan (Heather), Andrea Guthridge (Jon), Rich Andrew (Veronica) and Danielle Andrew; and his great grandchildren, Harrison Haan, AJ Kimbel, Elizabeth, Ryan McCall, Max, Nate Gallager, Logan and Gabbie.
