It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Jo Schwartz of West Lafayette, Indiana, born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 23, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent J. Collins and Lois M. Collins (Kuenzli); and her brother James V. Collins. She is survived by: her husband Richard J. Schwartz; her children, Richard Schwartz, II (Cathleen), Stephen Schwartz (Coralie), Susan Owen (Robert), Elizabeth T. Fu (Thomas), Barbara Lee (Jason), Peter Schwartz (Kristin), Christopher Schwartz (Renee) and Margaret Braile (William); and her sisters, Patricia Andringa, Lois Ferguson, Jacqueline Maratek, Michaela Farner and Martina Durand. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Mary Jo's name may be made to the Richard J. and Mary Jo Schwartz Scholarship at Purdue University.
