It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Rons of West Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on September 30, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her sister Dorothy Bettinger. She is survived by: her children, Pam (Ed Schrager), Debbie Blank (Bill), Nancy and Curt (Bonnie); her grandchildren, Tony (Desiree), Ben Blank, Tanner and Maddie Rons; and her sisters, Beatrice Ahbe and Joyce Patrick.
Betty Rons died during the COVID-19 pandemic 102 years after her father lived despite contracting the Spanish flu while in Army training during World War I. As a child, her family grew fruits and vegetables and had a herd of Holstein cows on a farm near Mukwonago, population 800.
