It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ann Burns of West Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on April 24, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Ann Burns to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence E. Hyman and Jeanette A. Hyman (Chamberlain); her husband John T. "Jack" Burns, MD; and her grandson Christian Thomas Burns. She is survived by: her sons, J. Kevin Burns of Fort Wayne, IN, Eric H. Burns (Marti) of West Lafayette, IN and Andrew T. Burns (Ruthelen) of Denver, CO.; her grandchildren, Amanda Cardosi (Ahren), Kevin John Burns (Kristen), Alexander Burns, Stewart Burns (Katelyn), Madeline Richards, Andrew G. Burns, Sarah Cook (Patrick), Christopher Burns and Grace Burns; and her great grandchildren, Penelope Johnson, Mira Cardosi, Vivienne Richards, Beatrice Burns, Georgia Richards, Jack Cardosi, Eloise A. Burns, Molly Burns, Scarlett Burns, Nora Burns and Eloise J. Burns.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Episcopal Church (600 Ferry St, Lafayette, IN 47901). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mary Ann's name to the ONE MORE Scholarship, West Lafayette Schools Education Foundation.
