She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Furlong and Pearl Furlong (Houchens); and her husband Virgil E. Carter. She is survived by: her sons, Ronald Carter (Linda) of Glasgow, Donald Carter (Kana) of Indianapolis and Larry Carter (Lynda) of West Lafayette; her siblings, Howard Furlong (Corine) of Smith Grove, Agnes Jones of Glasgow, Noxie Beatty of Smith Grove and Elaine Lawrence (Michael) of Smith Grove; her grandchildren, Todd Carter (Amy) of Glasgow, Justin Carter (Heather) of Atlanta, Georgia and Tara Carter of Lafayette; and her sister Twyla Lawrence. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lucerne Christian Church and/or Hillcrest Baptist Church.
