It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Robert Sparenberg of West Lafayette, Indiana, born in Iroquois, Illinois, who passed away on September 11, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sparenberg and Elna Sparenberg (Shule); and his sister Loretta Zummallen (Lorenz). He is survived by: his wife Betty Sparenberg (Woodlock); his children, Rita Wolff (Dale), Gene Sparenberg (Rita), Merle Sparenberg (Connie), Julie Braunschweig (Mike) and Peggy Barnard (Clint); his sister Carol Albrecht (Jim); and his brother-in-law Richard Woodlock. He is also survived by 16 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren.
