It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Halsema of West Lafayette, Indiana, born in Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on September 2, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo and Violet; his wife Marjorie Halsema; his siblings, Jack Halsema (Janet), Sally Harris and Tom Halsema; his son-in-law Brian Lucas; and his grandchildren, Joseph Lucas and Rachael Runkle.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Lucas (Don Keerer) of West Lafayette, Susan Alt (Ron) of Battle Ground and Mark Halsema (Tammy Clark); and his close friend Marisa Trenkle. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
