He was predeceased by: his father James Gerald Patterson. He is survived by: his mother Rita Patterson (Dawson); his siblings, James M. Patterson of Arizona and Angie Patterson of Lafayette; and his nephews, Westten Rodine of Indianapolis and Wyatt Rodine of Colorado. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the family for final expenses.
