With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Sylvia Petrie of West Lafayette, Indiana, born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, who passed away on August 24, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pierre Vacon and Francoise Vacon of Yarmouth; and her husband Dr. Raymond Petrie of Remington, Indiana.. She is survived by: her children, Moira Rae Walbaum of West Lafayette and Steven Petrie; her daughter-in-law Candace Petrie of Fort Wayne, Indiana.; her siblings, Betty Ann Frotten, Alma Vacon, Milton (Wanda) and Thomas Vacon of Nova Scotia, Canada.; and her grandchildren, Owen, Ellen Walbaum of West Lafayette, Ryan, Benjamin, Mara Jade Petrie of Fort Wayne, Josiah, Ethan, Mackenzie and Aria Fritzel of Fort Wayne.
