He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew P. Brown and Louise Brown (Schmierer); his wife Pathra "Pat" Reddish; his son Alan Lynn Brown; and his siblings, Betty Rowland and Richard Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Brown (Jane Kinyon) of Tippecanoe County and Barbara Heywood of Goodyear, AZ; and his sister-in-law Patricia K. Brown of West Lafayette.
