He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Bruns and Sadie Bruns (Reisser); his wife Joyce Bruns; his sons, Jeffrey Kidd and David Cowles; and his siblings, Diane Bruns Feldkamp and Don Bruns.
He is survived by: his children, Jay Bruns of Sarasota, Florida, Sherry Foster (Matt) of New Orleans, LA and Cassendra Kemmer of West Lafayette, IN.; his brothers, Dennis Bruns (Susan) of Sioux Falls, SD and Dean Bruns (Cristy) of Sunnyside, NY; and his sister-in-law Pam Bruns of Eldon, MO.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
