She was predeceased by: her parents, J. L. Thomas and Ada Thomas (Rochester); her husband Curtis L. Maddox Sr. (Floyd C. Bowles); her children, Frances Cooper, Becky Alford, Dennis Bowles and Karvel Bowles; and her siblings, Arthur J. Thomas, Bobby Joe D. Thomas, Billy C. Thomas, Kattie Shaw, Mary Lou Nichols, Ada Jim Smith, Darie Hodges, Ruth Teague, Grace Scott and Peggy Anglin.
She is survived by: her son Curtis L. Maddox, Jr. (Mary Kathern); her grandchildren, Curtis Wade Maddox (Wanda), Penny Hodge, Stephen Todd Maddox (Michelle) and Carri Embrey (Nathan); her great great grandchild Floyd Bowles; her children, Clarence Bowles, Phyllis Hawkins, Betty Bowles, Robert Bowles and Julie Sandlin; and her sister Hazel Franklin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
