He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald H. Schalk and Carrie Schalk (Smith); and his stepfather Leslie Roessler. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Schalk (Kerns); his daughter Brandy Schalk; his grandchildren, Trevin Manderschied and Julie Jacob; and his siblings, John Schalk (Betty), Vickie Schalk, Janet Ison (Lambert) and Dixie Myers (Jeff). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
