He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Carnes and Martha Bledsoe; and his siblings, Betty, Lula, Jesse and Elwood Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Sue and Lana Lea (David); his wife Elsie Marie Moffatt; and his children, Jonathon (Debbie) and Deidre (George). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
