He was predeceased by: his parents, Clellon Jackson and Wilma Jackson Campbell (Belcher); and his brother Kenneth E. Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Jackson; his children, Amy Atkins (Trevor) of Athens, Alabama and James Jackson (Tracy) of Danville, Indiana; his siblings, Robert Jackson (Debbie) of Sugar Land, Texas and Dianna Smith (David) of Huntingburg, Indiana; his stepchildren, Amy Porter (Jeff) of Wabash, Indiana and Andrew Bartoo (Paula) of Huntington, Indiana; his sister-in-law Mary Jackson; and also Jeff Porter. He is also survived by Grandchildren (4) Great-Grandchildren (3) Step-Grandchildren (4) Step-Great-Grandchildren.
